LIMLL Week 1 Recap
Huntington, NY – The 2026 Long Island Metro Lacrosse Leagues season wasted no time making noise, as Week 1 delivered tight finishes, statement wins, overtime drama, and plenty of energy across all four divisions. From one-goal battles to high-scoring performances, the league got off to a fast start as Week 2 anticipation builds.
In the Jones Beach Division, Gabagoals opened with a strong 9-4 win over the Pink Panthers, while TRAstrong edged out Shaft Grabbers in a 6-5 battle. Fleasters picked up a 9-7 win over Mixed Nuts, and Booze Bags held off Wreck-it Ralphs, 9-6, to cap off a competitive opening week.
The L.I. Sound Division brought the drama early, with the Mighty Mullets defeating the WestConn Wolves, 7-6, in a tight contest. The Goons also delivered one of the highlights of Week 1, outlasting Geno Foundation, 6-5, in overtime.
In the Montauk Division, Bethpage Boozers earned a 7-4 win over Pat’s Place, while Laxaholics made a statement with an 11-3 victory over The Bandits. Wise Guys LC also opened strong, defeating Fellas LC, 9-6.
The Orient Division saw plenty of offensive firepower, led by Popeyes LC’s 14-9 win over Lock Jaw. Krystal Lacrosse also impressed with an 11-3 victory over Seahawks, while Pond Boys defeated Cheddar LC, 11-7. Tropics LC held off Chick-fil-A, 8-6, and The Pack picked up a 1-0 forfeit win over Shuckin’ Oysters.
Looking Ahead
With one week in the books, The Island’s League is already building momentum. The competition was sharp, the energy was high, and the excitement around the league is only growing. As Week 2 begins on Tuesday, June 16, teams across all four divisions will look to build off their opening performances while some teams will be making their season debut.
