LIMLL Week 10 Recap

Huntington, NY – The 2026 Long Island Metro Lacrosse Leagues season came to a close after a playoff run that delivered intense matchups, unforgettable finishes, and across the board, the league showed more parity than ever before. From the opening week of the regular-season through Championship Week, every division produced storylines, surprises, and performances that made this summer one of the most exciting in league history. The 2026 playoffs were a reminder of what makes The Island’s League special.

Orient Division Championship

(#6) Krystal Lacrosse 9, (#5) Popeyes LC 6

Krystal Lacrosse capped off an incredible Cinderella run through the Orient Division playoffs after not qualifying for the postseason in 2025. They caught lightning in a bottle at exactly the right time, knocking off higher seeds and finding their best lacrosse when it mattered most.

Popeyes LC showed grit and toughness all season long, advancing to the final in just their second year in the league. Their run to the championship game proved they are firmly established as one of the rising teams in the division.

Montauk Division Championship

(#3) Pat’s Place 6, (#1) Bethpage Boozers 4

Pat’s Place finally turned the corner and took home the Montauk Division Cup. After missing the playoffs in 2025 and previously advancing to the Intermediate Final in 2023, Pat’s Place put everything together at the right time and finished the job in 2026.

For the Bethpage Boozers, it was another year, another undefeated regular-season, and another championship game that ended just short of the ultimate goal. The Boozers have been one of the most consistent teams in the league, and the question now follows them into the offseason: Will 2027 finally be their year?

Jones Beach Division Championship

(#5) Mixed Nuts 7, (#2) TRAstrong 6

From playing as an independent team in 2025 to winning a division championship in 2026, Mixed Nuts completed one of the most impressive turnarounds of the season. With a short bench and a championship mentality, they pulled off a dramatic win over TRAstrong with seconds remaining in a back-and-forth contest.

TRAstrong proved why they are also one of the league’s most consistent teams, reaching another championship game and battling until the final whistle. But in the end, Mixed Nuts delivered the moment of the night and claimed the Jones Beach Division title.

L.I. Sound Division Championship

(#4) The Juicers 12, (#2) Landsharks 6

As dominant as a championship performance can be, The Juicers made a statement in their first year in The Island’s League. From start to finish, they played with confidence, pace, and purpose, closing out their season with a convincing win over Landsharks.

Landsharks put together a strong season and earned their place in the final, but The Juicers were simply at another level on championship night. Their first-year run will be remembered as one of the strongest debut seasons in recent league history.

A Season to Remember

The 2026 LIMLL season will be remembered for its balance, unpredictability, and playoff drama. This was not a season dominated by one team or one division.

Teams that missed the playoffs in previous years became champions. New teams made immediate impacts. Lower seeds knocked off top seeds. Regular-season dominance did not guarantee postseason success. Every week felt meaningful, and every division had teams capable of making a run.

That level of competition is what continues to make the LIMLL the premier summer lacrosse league in the country.

With the 2026 LIMLL season now concluded, there are several burning questions heading into the offseason as anticipation begins to build for 2027:

For ten weeks every summer, the Long Island Metro Lacrosse Leagues serves as a destination for players to compete, develop, and play the game they love. Any high school graduate or college player can benefit from The Island’s League. The opportunity to hone your craft, get important runs in during the summer months, and compete against top-level talent is crucial to player training and development.

The 2026 season gave the league drama, nostalgia, new champions, and unforgettable moments. Now, as the summer comes to a close, attention turns toward the future.
