LIMLL Week 9 Recap
Huntington, NY – The first full week of the 2026 Long Island Metro Lacrosse Leagues playoffs delivered everything expected. The intensity was high, the matchups were physical, and teams across all four divisions battled for the chance to play for summer glory. Week 9 brought the postseason stage into full focus. Every team still standing knew what was at stake: win and advance to Championship Week or see the summer come to an end.
Jones Beach Division Semi-Finals
(#2) TRAstrong 8, (#3) Shaft Grabbers 5
(#5) Mixed Nuts 11, (#1) Fleasters 9
There will be no repeat championship for the No. 3 Shaft Grabbers, as they fell to No. 2 TRAstrong, 8-5. TRAstrong will now appear in the championship game for the fifth time in seven years. Their last championship came in 2024, when they defeated Silver Bullets in overtime. On the other side of the bracket, No. 5 Mixed Nuts continued their impressive playoff run by knocking off No. 1 Fleasters, 11-9. After participating in the Independent Division in 2025, Mixed Nuts will now make their first championship appearance in the Jones Beach Division.
L.I. Sound Division Semi-Finals
(#2) Landsharks 10, (#3) The Goons 5
(#4) The Juicers 8, (#1) Bullseye Lacrosse 7
The L.I. Sound Division delivered another major playoff storyline as No. 2 Landsharks defeated No. 3 The Goons, 10-5. It was the second time this season Landsharks bested The Goons, with their first meeting coming on July 15 in a 10-9 overtime victory. In the other semifinal, No. 4 The Juicers outlasted No. 1 Bullseye Lacrosse, 8-7, to advance to the championship in their first season in The Island’s League. The Juicers have proven to be one of the toughest teams in the bracket and will now get a chance to complete a championship run.
Montauk Division Semi-Finals
(#3) Pat’s Place 7, (#2) Wise Guys 5
(#1) Bethpage Boozers 6, (#4) The Sloths 5
No. 3 Pat’s Place continue its late-season surge with a 7-5 win over No. 2 Wise Guys. After clinching a playoff spot in the final game of the regular-season, Pat’s Place will now appear in the championship game for the first time since 2023, when they were defeated by Team Casa. No. 1 Bethpage Boozers also kept their undefeated season alive with a tight 6-5 win over No. 4 The Sloths. The Boozers will get another opportunity to play for a LIMLL Cup as they return to the championship game for the second straight season. In 2025, they fell to Blue Dream Lacrosse in the Intermediate Final.
Orient Division Semi-Finals
(#6) Krystal Lacrosse 11, (#1) The Pack 3
(#5) Popeyes LC 9, (#2) Tropics LC 5
The Orient Division has produced the Cinderella team of the playoffs. After securing the final seed in the division, Krystal has now knocked off No. 3 Pond Boys, 10-9, and No. 1 The Pack, 11-3, to earn a spot in the championship game. They will take on No. 5 Popeyes LC, who have made a playoff run of their own. Popeyes defeated No. 4 Chick-fil-A, 9-8, in overtime before taking down No. 2 Tropics LC, 9-5. The Orient Division Championship will now feature two lower seeds that have caught fire at exactly the right time.
Looking Ahead
Championship Week is officially set, and this LIMLL season has shown that on any given night, any team can beat anyone. This may be the final week of competition this summer, but it is shaping up to be an action-packed finish. Every division championship features a different storyline.
